07/31/2009 - If you receive email messages from banks you don't know (or even those you do) asking for account verification, you should call the bank to verify that they've sent it.  There is a huge amount of "phishing" scams being conducted on a daily basis in an attempt to get your valuable personal information.  If there is ever a doubt in your mind about the authenticity of the message you've received, don't hesitate to call your local branch.  Don't be another statistic!
